A native of Birmingham, AL passed away in New York City where she lived for 40 years. She was a devoted member of New St. James Baptist Church, she later joined Bethel A.M.E. Church in NYC. She received her education in Birmingham, AL. She attended Brunetta C. Hill Elemetary School, graduated A.H. Parker High School, received a B.S. degree from Miles College and a Master's Degree from New York City College. She received a Proclamation of Service Award from the City of New York for her many years of hard work and diligence with children. She received many other awards. She was also honored as a Woman of Distinction by New York Chapter Continental Societies Inc. She was preceded in death by: father, William Moses, Sr.; mother, Mattie L. Moses; sister, Bebe Moses McLish; brother, William Moses Jr.; and a nephew, William Moses, III. She leaves to cherish her memories: two loving sons, Lloyd (Stephanie) and LeKeither (Natasha); four grandchildren, Alex, Nia, Geneses, and Zion; two sisters, Carolyn Moses Hardy and Yvonne Moses; three nephews, Alfred McLish (Helen), Blanton Hardy and Kelly moses; two great-nieces, Keeyana McLish and Kendall McLish; two great nephews, Alfred Jabari McLish and William Moses, IV; and many relatives and friends. A funeral memorial will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at New St. James Baptist Church, 600 4th Ave N at 11:00 AM with Rev. Daryl L. Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
