Willie was a graduate of Hooper City High School and Lawson State Technical College. He served in the United States Army with a tour in Korea and was honorably discharged in November 1965. He was the sole owner of Liptrot TV Repair Service with over 20 successful years of business, serving the greater Birmingham area. He retired from Alabama By-Products, Drummond Corporation after 44 years of exemplary service as a shift engineer. Graveside service will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie J. Liptrot; mother, Velma Liptrot; Lena N. Liptrot, loving wife of 34 years; and brother, Sandy J. Liptrot. Willie is survived by his three sons, Adrian L. Liptrot (Sabine), Roderick Liptrot (Kimberly A.), Demetrius P. Liptrot (Jennifer M.); one daughter, Kenya S. Liptrot; one sister, Beatrice L.
