Willie Lajuan
Johnson
July 6, 1978 – December 7, 2025
Willie LaJuan Johnson, age 46, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025. Born on July 6, 1978, in Birmingham, to Robert and Shirley Johnson, he was known for his powerful laugh, magnetic personality, and the light he brought into every room. He was full of life, joy, and humor, the kind of person who could turn a simple moment into a memory with a joke, a smile, or a story.
He was educated in Birmingham and attended Huffman High School. After graduation, he began what would become a dedicated 20+ year career working at Warrior Met Coal. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built with those beside him.
A true sports fan, he never missed an Alabama game and cheered hard for the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Lakers. When he wasn't watching sports, he could be found doing what he loved most, spending time outdoors. Whether it was riding four-wheelers, camping in the RV, or simply being outside with family, he was in his element especially when his wife, Tiffany, and daughters, Ava and Ashlyn, were by his side. He loved creating memories with them that they will carry forever.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Johnson and his sister, Shelise Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Tiffany Johnson, and their two daughters, Ava and Ashlyn; his father, Robert Johnson; his brother, Robert
Johnson Jr.; cousin-brother, Clifton Washington; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends who loved him deeply.
His presence was a blessing to all who knew him. His laughter, strength, and kind & giving spirit will be remembered always, and his legacy lives on through the family he loved fiercely.
