Mrs. Vivian Louise Samuel was born on February 26, 1953, she was the fourth child to the late Mrs. Bessie Jackson and Stallworth Jackson Sr.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of The Late Rev. A.S. Cook. Then she later joined Community Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of The Late Rev. Ronald MacFarland Sr., where she served faithfully.

She departed this earthly life on Thursday January 1, 2026, at St. Vincent's Birmingham.

Vivian was a wonderful loving person she touched the lives of many people. She left a lasting impression on everybody she met. She loved to cook and travel, but most of all she loved the Lord, her children and family.

Vivian was proceed in death by her brother Mr. Stallworth Jackson Jr., and her sister Mrs. Veronica Sturdivant.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one loving and devoted partner, Ms. Phyllis Burch; two sons, Mr. Lewis (LaTonya) Samuel, Jr., and Mr. Surmon (Kendra) Jackson; one step daughter, Queenetta (Mike) Jemison; two stepsons, James (Geneva) Wesley and Samuel (Pamela) Wesley; six sisters, Ms. Mattie Brown, Mrs. Brenda Armer, Mrs. Gloria (Kaven) Gaines, Mrs. Essie (Willie) Jackson-Hall, Ms. Annette Harvey, and Mrs. Betty (Randall) Weston; two brothers, Mr. Samuel Jackson and Mr. Clem Davis, Jr.; five grandchildren, Christopher Martin, Lewis Martin, Ambrelle Samuel Dixon(Aaron, Sr.), Arielle Samuel, and A'Keriah Samuel; nine great-grandchildren, Ivy Martin, Colby Martin, Aaron Dixon, Jr., Aaiden Dixon, Ambre'Ynn Dixon, Arielle Samuel, Artavius Samuel, Artavion Samuel, Arliyah Samuel, and ArMare' Samuel; a very, very good friend, Ms. Eulanda "Peanut" Ansley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
