Tracy Dawn
Upshaw - Robinson
November 3, 1964 – April 6, 2024
Tracy was born to the late Wilbert Upshaw, Sr. & Regina Morris on November 3, 1964 in Birmingham, AL. She confessed to Christ at an early age and later joined the First Baptist Church of Ensley. Tracy attended P.D. Jackson Olin High School, where she was the co-head majorette and graduated in the Class of 1983. She also attended Jefferson State & The University of Alabama at Birmingham, which she would later be employed. Employed at Healthsouth, later UAB Highlands as a unit secretary on several floors, she advanced to several health information management positions as 30+ year veteran.
Tracy had experienced stage I breast cancer and stage IV lung cancer. Throughout her treatment journey, Tracy endured numerous rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Tracy persevered with unwavering strength and resilence, with her heroic journey serving as a testament to her determination and the power of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Her bravery and perseverance has inspired countless others and her story serves as a beacon of hope, reminding those around her to never give up and to cherish every moment of life. Her legacy continues to inspire and uplift others, even after her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Winston Tyrone Robinson, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving daughters: Tayana Dawn & Tarilyn Robinson, grandson: Tyavion Robinson, great-grandchildren: Ashton and Ty'Riah, siblings: Wilbert Upshaw Jr. "Shaw", Erika Ríce, Kristopher Upshaw, DeCarlo (Chrisdelin) Lyles, Diamond Cyles, Michaela Nixon, & Darrell Ford; siblings by marriage: Brenda (Eddie) Wiggins, Willie Robinson, David (Nada) Robinson, Harry (*Cheryl) Wills, Robbie (Henry) Kingka, and Valeria (Michael) Wilkins. A very special aunt, Bessie (Pratt) Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
