Ms. Tinnie Lee Ellsberry Scovil, fondly called "Tiny Lee" by family and friends, was born on September 23, 1937, to Mrs. Eukala Ellsberry and Mack Kenneth Ellsberry. Tinnie was the last born of nine children and the sole survivor of her siblings.

Tinnie married Haywood Scovil in December of 1954, and to this union, three children were born.

Tinnie was a proud graduate of AH Parker High School, Class of 1955. Tinnie attended Miles College and withdrew to dedicate time to raising her children. Tinnie gained employment with USPS in 1966 and retired on disability. Tinnie was able to enjoy her retirement with family and friends, always welcoming all with her beautiful smile.

Tinnie was a faithful member of St. James and was part of the kitchen staff until her health started failing.

Tinnie was preceded in death by her son, Mr. Haywood Scovil, Jr., in 2004.

God called Tinnie to her heavenly home on the morning of September 16, 2025.

Tinnie leaves to mourn her passing: her loving daughter, Mrs. Jennifer Scovil (Calvin) Wilbert; devoted son, Mr. Darryl Jerome Scovil;  grandchildren, Mrs. Caren (Montez) Robinson and Ms. Ginger L. Wilbert; great- grandchildren, Montez Robinson, Jr., and Manuel Robinson; bonus son, Othell Winslett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
