Mrs. Thaddelia Brown was born to Edna and Lorenzo Hearns on December 24, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and grew up in St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was educated in the public schools of Birmingham. She attended Alabama A&M University and later transferred to Miles College where she received a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She also became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at Miles College. She was employed as an elementary school teacher at several Birmingham City Schools. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Bernard Brown, Sr. for thirty-nine years. He preceded her in death. She departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 132 - 6th Avenue South, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Sherry Thomas (Cliff) of Orlando, FL and Shundala Cox of Calera, AL; two sons, Bernard Brown, Jr. (Shandraka) of Birmingham, AL and Terry Prior (Wanda) of Birmingham, AL; one brother, John A. Dedrick (Millie) of Birmingham, AL; ten grandchildren; cousins, Dr. Debra Voltz (Kevin), Vickie Head (Howard) and Jim Voltz. Smith & Gaston Southside directing.
