Mr. Steven Lee was born to the late George and Bettie Townes Lee on July 3, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama. He departed this life on August 26, 2014. Steven accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church. He later joined Sixth Avenue Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon until his death. Steven was a graduate of A. H. Parker High School and attended Alabama A&M University, Miles College and the University of Detroit. He obtained a bachelors degree in Marketing. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Steven's career in sales extended more than thirty years. He retired from Tom Williams Cadillac in 2009. He was known for his exuberant personality and his classy style of dressing. He didn't meet strangers and showed his love openly for his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Lee, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Wanda Morrow Lee; three daughters, Kewanee Dawkins, Kittren Lee Williams and Kelsey Lee; one son, Charles Lee; two granddaughters, Briana Griffin and Gabrielle Williams; one sister, Frances Ford; one aunt, Henrietta Miree; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church, 1101 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive S.W., Birmingham, Alabama 35211 with entombment in Elmwood Mausoleum.
