Sid Bryant Sr. was born to Lillie Bryant and Tom Dubose on November 9, 1932. He was raised by his Grandmother Angeline Tenant. He was educated in the Dallas County School System. He met and married the love of his life, Janie M. Patterson for 64 years. To this union, eight children were born: Jacynthia, Sid Jr., Vera J., Bradford, Ralph, Gregory, Dorthea, and Darryl.

He was employed with Jim Dandy, Dixie Caskets, he worked as a parking attendant for Albright, and he drove buses for Central Bus Lines Inc. Preceded in death by son Ralph, daughter Vera, son Gregory. He leaves to mourn his lovely wife Janie M. Bryant, six children: Jacynthia (Michael), Sid Jr., Bradford, Dorthea, Darrly, Sid Dumas, six grandchildren: Ralph, Tara, Natasia, Ashley, LaShunta, Jackie, Sid Jr., one sister, Ethel Henderson, (14) Great Grand Children, 3 sister in-laws: Sarah Tripp, Mary Patterson, (2) Great-Great Grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
