In Loving Memory of Shaquita Sanders Savage
June 6, 1993 – January 26, 2026
Shaquita Sanders Savage was born on June 6, 1993, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Angela Reene Sanders and Johnnie Davis Morgan. From an early age, Shaquita's vibrant spirit, contagious laughter, love for the phone and unmistakable style made it easy to be in her presence.
She attended A.H. Parker High School in North Birmingham, where her bold personality, long signature-nails, and passion for urban fashion left a lasting impression on family and friends alike. Shaquita's humor, warmth, and often quiet demeanor made her unforgettable to all who had the joy of knowing her.
On May 16, 2012, Shaquita married the love of her life, Nathan Lamar Savage. Their union was blessed with beautiful children and cherished memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
On Monday, January 26, 2026, Shaquita peacefully transitioned from this earthly life, surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Ella C. Sanders, her aunt Bertha Nunn, and her uncle Lawrence Hawkins.
Shaquita's legacy continues through her loving family: her husband, Nathan L. Savage Sr.; her five children, Isaiah Diggins, Nathan L. Savage Jr., Haley E. Savage, Aiden L. Sanders, and Brooklyn Millender; her parents, Johnnie Morgan and Angela Savage; and her parents-in-law, Larry and Kamara Savage.
She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Keyvon Ollison, Shantel Altman, and Jermaine (Briana) Sanders; her nieces, Morgan Hampton and Jaia Sanders; her nephew, Jaceion Sanders; her nieces and nephew of Shantel Altmanas well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Shaquita will be remembered for her radiant personality, her boundless love for her family, and the joy she brought into every life she touched. Though her time with us was far too short, her spirit will remain an eternal light in the hearts of all who knew her.
