Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Jones Vansant was born on May 31, 1941, to the late Jimmie and Jessie Jones.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Joy Baptist Church where she was a member of the
Senior Choir for many years and remained a member of the church until her death.

She graduated from Hooper City High School in 1959 and later received an associate's degree from
Southern Junior College of Business.

She was employed with Mazer Appliance for many years until she retired in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Vansant, Sr.; mother, Jessie B. Watson; sister, Marian
Vickers; and grandson, Guy D. Vansant.

Her memory will be cherished by: her loving and devoted children, Yvette (Reginald) Wilson, Eddie
"Ricky" (Angela) Vansant, Michelle (Toney) Gray, Revanette "Dimples" (Joe) Breeding, Sherri "Bay Bay"
Stevenson, Willie "Wayne" (Kim) Williams, Shawn Williams, and special daughter, Cynthia Smith;
three loving grandchildren she raised, Nick Kier, Erika Vansant, and Hope Williams; ten beautiful
grandchildren, Kayla, Toney Jr. (Tiara), Jasmine, Jalyn, Raven, Haley, Joshua, Caleb, Jessica, and Justin;
six beautiful great-grandchildren, Kymorah, Toney Keith, Jordyn, Sky, Cassidy, and Isaiah; two loving
brothers, Jimmie (Emma Jean) Jones, Sr., and James Edward (Mary) Jones, Sr.; loving niece, Rosie M.
Smith; caring friends, Bobbie Davis and Trina Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended
family, and friends.
