Obituary

Ms. Rosalie Jennice Sharp, a woman who was filled with fervor and who exuded exuberance, was born September 28, 1968. Rosalie, affectionately known as Rose, was the second of three children born to the late Charlie and Malvester Bryant.
Rose successfully completed her course of study at Jones Valley High School in 1986. She furthered demonstrated her academic prowess at Jacksonville State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Management with a minor in Political Science in 1990. Rose translated her academic skills to the vocational arena, working for years in retail sales, which included YP Advertising Solutions. Rose also held management positions at Radio Shack and Marks Fitzgerald.
Rose's passion for young people first became evident while she served the youth at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. She later became a committed member of Faith Chapel Christian Center, where she served for years in Student Ministry, impacting the lives of the church's teenagers for the Kingdom of God. Rose's love of youth was further evidenced by her work as Director of the Aftercare Program for Cornerstone Schools of Alabama.
In addition to Rose's love for youth, she also had a very definite passion for the institution of marriage. She and her husband Efrem were the hosts of Three's Company, a Faith Chapel Life Group in which married couples sharpen one another as they move closer to God, thereby developing relationships which are not easily broken and that ultimately manifest heaven on earth.
Rose was passionate about her convictions. She approached tasks with an ardent zeal and an unrelenting determination, and she approached life with an unyielding drive and an indomitable spirit.
Rose was full of life. She exemplified the joy of the Lord. Her presence chased away gloom as her laughter radiated throughout the room.
Rose became absent from the body and present with the Lord Monday, December 1, 2014. She leaves to cherish and celebrate an exceptional life her husband, Efrem Sharp of Calera, Alabama; a brother, Lieutenant Colonel Derrick B. Bryant, United States Army (retired) of Havre de Grace, Maryland; a sister, Zephia M. Bryant of Indianapolis, Indiana; one uncle, Johnny Bryant of Chicago, Illinois; beloved godchildren; and a host of family members and special friends. Her irreplaceable aura may be gone, but her transcendent glow will never be forgotten.
