Roosevelt Odoms
Jr.
March 15, 1951 – January 1, 2023
Roosevelt Odoms Jr., was born March 15, 1951, to the union of the late Roosevelt Odoms Sr. and Virdell E. Odoms in Monroeville, Alabama. He accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of Thirgood Memorial C.M.E Church. He received his education through Birmingham City Public Schools. A graduate of A.H Parker High School, class of 1969, he immediately enrolled in the United States Air Force, where he served as a Jet Engine Mechanic. Upon honorable discharge he attended Lawson State Community College (Birmingham, Alabama) majoring in General Studies. Throughout his adult life he believed in participating in the civic process and participated in every election. Often known for his kind words and jovial nature.
On Sunday, January 1, 2023, God wrote the final chapter of his life and reclaimed His precious child. He is survived by: His wife, Arnita Conner-Odoms; two sons, Myreon Odoms, Kelvin Odoms; two daughters, Keala Odoms-Bryant, Arnee' Odoms; four sisters, Patricia (Erskine) Lowe, Betty (John) Harris, Janice Lee, and Davida (Clarence) Odoms; three brothers, Ernest (Cassandra) Odoms, Bill Odoms, and Clifford (Zenobia) Odoms; and Thirteen grandchildren, Rahkeem Hampton, Deryus Hooks, Josiah Cleveland, Israel (O'neal) Williams, Teairrah Thomas, Angel Best, Kailyn Bryant, Keavon Odoms, Jada Odoms, Madison Bryant, Myreon Odoms Jr., Matthias Odoms, Hannah Hall; six great grandchildren; As well as a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
