Robert L. Todd was born August 30, 1941 before day in the morning in Birmingham. He was delivered by Dr. Aldu Samuel Mitchell. Mr. Todd was born in a railroad section house off Vanderbilt Road at 2028 - 37th Street, North Birmingham. The road on the side of the River Fish Market led to this community. His grandparents, Leroy & Lizzie Mullins Williams Chacter. At the time of Roberts's Birth, his father, James Earnest Todd was on duty in the Us Navy. Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Leroy Chacter; father, Mr. James Earnest Todd; aunt, Ms. Louise Harris; mother, Mrs. Sarah Williams Todd Ford and brother, Mr. Jerry Jerome Ford.He graduated from A. H. Parker High School in January, 1959, he also began his studies at Talladega College, Talladega, Alabama in September, 1959. At Talladega College, Robert majored in English and minored in History. He met some of his greatest friends whom he forever remembered and loved.
