CELEBRATING THE LIFE & LEGACY
Robert Seay, Jr. was born on July 4, 1947, to the late Robert and Alice Seay, Sr. He was the seventh of nine siblings, five of whom preceded him in death (Esther Vaughn, Arthur Seay, Arlene Mungo, Minnie Betty, and Mercedes Johnson).
Robert Jr., affectionately called Red/Bobby B. Bad accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a member of 23rd Street Baptist Church.
He was educated in the Birmingham school system and graduated from Ullman High School, Class of 1965. After graduation, in 1966, he married Carol Y. Dobbins, and to this union, four children (Aloysius, Tamiko, Enrico, and Shauntese) were born. In February of 1989, they were so blessed to legally adopt their first grandchild, Simone.
He was a part of the Masonic Order - Khedive and a member of The Grease Monkeys.
Robert Jr. went to school in Georgia for his job with Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he was employed for over 30 years until he retired.
He was also preceded in death by his third child, Enrico.
Robert Jr. departed this life on June 1, 2025.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Carol (Hunny); four children, Aloysius, Tamiko, Shauntese, and Simone; seven grandchildren, Justin, DeCarlos, Ayouna (J.C.), Nyah, Kayla (Demetrice), Sedrick, and Leah; three great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Karter, and Ahlani; three siblings: Ruth Mae Johnson, Erma Austin, and Hilliard Seay; special cousin: James Waters; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
