Reginald Walton, Jr., 85, of Birmingham, died peacefully on Thursday, 21 April 2016. He was the eldest of four children born to Reginald, Sr. and Mamie Walton. In 1963, he and the former Cynthia Williams married, and they have two children, Keith and Melvia. His other family members include three grandchildren, Rachel, Alexander and Gabrielle, whom he adored; a brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Eliza; a sister- and brother-in-law, Melvia and Danny Richards, and a number of nieces and nephews in whom he took special interest. The family will receive friends at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel, 6-7 pm, Friday, 29 April, and 10-11 am, Saturday, 30 April. A remembrance will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, 30 April, at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. The interment will take place at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL, on Monday, 2 May.
