LIFE REFLECTIONS

Rev. Reginald Holloway, Calera, Alabama, passed away on October 5 at the age of 69.

Born on April 27, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama to Lloyd G Holloway and Gertrude B (Jackson) Holloway. Reginald lived a life filled with his love for God, Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior, his family, and his country.

He retired as Major from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He also retired as the Shelby County Community Services Manager after 20 years. He was a devoted pastor at the First Congregational United Church of Christ for 19 years. He loved to travel and explore new cultures. His military adventures took him to Germany, Texas, California, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri and other countries and states. He completed his undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science) in Urban Planning from Alabama A&M University, and his graduate degree in Human Resource Management (Masters of Science) in at Chapman University.

He is survived by his wife, Esther L. (Jones) Holloway, his daughter Tiffany R. Holloway, and his daughter, Shawntay L. Harris and his grandson Noah W. Holloway. He is also survived by his sister Joyce A. Holloway, his brothers Lloyd W. Holloway, and Ivan W. Holloway. His niece Charmaine C. Holloway and nephews, Lloyd G., Evan L. and Ivan T. Holloway and grandniece Luna D. Holloway.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Holloway, his mother, Gertrude Holloway, and his sister, Gayle Holloway.

Reginald's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. As a man of faith, service, and strength.
