Rebie Lee
Little
August 31, 1959 – November 26, 2025
Rebie's life journey began on August 31, 1959 when she was born to the proud parents of Donaldson and Catherine Little. She was raised in a village where everyone had an impact on your life in the community. Rebie had a personal relation with God as a young child. She was a life-long member of Noble Chapel CME Church where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She served the Lord with a heart of
love and gladness.
Her educational experience started at Noble Chapel Kindergarten. She was educated in the Birmingham City School System attending Riley Elementary and Jones Valley High School. After graduation she attended Tuskegee University receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Education. She went on to earn her Master's Degree from Long Island University in Adapted Physical Education. Rebie had a thirst for learning new things and traveling.
Rebie was a quiet and soft-spoken person involved in many things at church, school and community. Growing up she gave of her time and talents to serving humanity and our children.
Rebie coached volleyball and basketball at Middle School level. She was truly dedicated to the girls and instilling sportsmanship qualities for them to be team players.
She worked at two schools in the Birmingham City School System: Banks and Jones Valley Middle. Her time was dedicated to both schools serving in many different capacities such as tutoring, always staying abreast of many new ideas and concepts through continuing education.
Rebie was a blessing to many and her life was a true testimony to serving others. Rebie will be missed by many people whom she loved and those who loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Ms. Imogene Smith (Whatley, Georgia), Ms. Jacqueline Govan (Winter Haven, Florida), Ms. Shirley Little (Birmingham, Alabama), three brothers Mr. Leroy Little (Sherman Texas), Mr. Dana Little (Columbus, Mississippi), Mr. Wayne Little (Tarrytown, Georgia), one aunt Mrs. Dorothy Perry (Orange New Jersey), fourteen nieces, one nephew, one special sister Ms. Tamara Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
