Paul
Mcdade
February 20, 1967 – January 11, 2026
Reflection of Life
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7
Paul McDade was born on February 20, 1967, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Paul McDade, Sr., and Letha Mae Avery McDade. He confessed Christ at an early age at 5th Street Church of God and was educated in the Birmingham City School System.
A man of many talents, Paul began his career in construction with Donahue Construction in Birmingham, later working for Boman Coleman, U.S. Steel, and the Greyhound Bus Station. His journey eventually led him to Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent over a decade as a respected independent contractor before returning to Birmingham, bringing his skills and experience back home.
Paul's heart was full of love—for life, for laughter, and for his family. He cherished every moment spent with family and friends. He took great pride in grilling and frying fish and chicken for those he loved. To know Paul was to know laughter. Known as the "life of the party"; he had a gift for brightening any room with a joke or a smile, bringing joy to everyone around him. Paul also liked to travel and was an avid Alabama football fan.
At 1:34 P.M. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, Paul departed this earthly life, surrounded by the family and friends he loved so dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul McDade, Sr.; son, Paul Williams; grandmothers, Adell Avery and Easter Bell McDade Collins; aunts,
Gloria Bradley (Acie), Leola Christian, and Mary Lee; and uncle, Frank Avery.
Paul's presence will be deeply missed, but his laughter and the memories of his generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love and laughter is cherished by his mother, Letha Mae Avery McDade; daughter, LaVonda McDade; son, Jujuan King; eight
sisters, Gwendolyn (Charlie) Pinkard, Aletheia McDade, Tanisha Owens, Tiesha Owens, Sabrina Lesure, Threse Marshall, Caprice Williams, and Victoria Williams; three brothers, Jermaine McDade, Jamill Owens, and William Marshall, III; an aunt, Julia Jones; five grandchildren; three special friends, Carwyn White, Jacqueline Killian, and Courtney T. Floyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
