A time to be born . . .

Romeo and Doris Thomas’s youngest daughter was born in Leeds, Alabama on December 6, 1948.

A time to learn . . .

Patricia graduated from Leeds High School with the Class of 1967.

A time to love . . .

Patricia united in marriage with George Washington Gamble, Sr. on July 10, 1971 at her sister’s house in Birmingham, Alabama. George accepted a position as a Research Equipment Technician in the Department of Audiology and Physiology at Michigan State University. The newlyweds moved to Lansing, Michigan where their three children were born. The family returned to Birmingham, Alabama in 1987 to be closer to family. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Gamble Sr. in 2018.

A time to weep . . .

Patricia fell asleep in death on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Grandview Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Denise Gamble Glenn (Birmingham), George Gamble, Jr and his wife Valerie (Birmingham), and Twanna Gamble (Birmingham) and her husband Junious; her siblings who preceded her in death are Romeo Jr. Thomas, Joseph/“Joe” Thomas, Dorothy/“Dot” (Don) Thomas, and Larnie Mae/”Sister” Thomas; she is survived by her siblings William (Crystal Gale) Thomas, Larry (Linda) Thomas, Lee (Wini) Thomas, Jerry (Carol) Thomas, and Terry Thomas, as well as her grandchildren, great grandsons, and a host of relatives.
