Obituary

Otis Reed, Jr., was born to the late Otis, Sr., and
Reverend Arthero Faulk Reed on June 14, 1948, in Union Springs,
Alabama.

He served proudly in the United States Army in Germany from
1968-1969. In addition, he recently retired from the Pine Tree
Country Club after twenty-five years.

Otis loved God, family, and friends. He often greeted them fondly
saying, "What's up?" He enjoyed jigsaws, crossword puzzles, and
drawing.

Otis leaves to mourn: a devoted, loving soulmate and wife
of twenty years, Pamela Johnson Reed; one son, Anton Reed
of Detroit, MI; three bonus children, Marcellous L. (Abrea)
Johnson, Arthur J. Wilder, and Kenya W. (Ray) Trannon; and
nine grandchildren.

Otis was one of seven children: Thero Mae Reed Taylor
(deceased), Narotha Reed Smith (deceased), Reverend Ike Reed
(Brenda), Wyteria Reed DeJarnett (Zack), Alford Reed (Daisy),
and Reverend Serenta Reed Chaney (Raymond). He also leaves
to mourn: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Otis' trusted and loyal friend from Hooper City, whom he
admired and respected, was his mentor, James Allen of Hooper
City. He held James in the highest regard for his "unconditional
love" for him.
