Mrs. Marion C. Thomas, age 86, of Birmingham was called home to rest on Wednesday, February 11, 2016. She was preceded on death by her husband, Roosevelt Thomas and son, John C. Smiley. She is survived by her sons, Darryl Thomas and Karl Thomas; sisters Joan Drayton, Kathleen Bunton, Patricia Moore, brothers, Jessie Crawford (Josephine), Roger Crawford (Eardie Mae), Christopher Crawford (Deborah), Anthony Crawford, Gregory Crawford (Gloria) and Phillip Crawford; grandchildren, Taneishia Smith, Shemica Seay and Ashley Burke; great-grandchildren, Di-Rico Hawkins, Shamiya Seay and Zamoria Burks; a host of family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Smith & Gaston Southside Chaepl, 102 - 6th Avenue S.W. after 1 PM. Homegoing service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at 45th Street Baptist Church, 7600 Division Avenue. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
