Mrs. Marie J. Alexander was born September 21, 1939, to the late Mr. Charles Mills and Katie Mae Jackson. She departed this life on July 3, 2025, at Baptist Princeton Hospital.

She confessed and accepted Christ at an early age and joined the First Baptist Church of Ensley under the pastorate of the late Reverand W. A. Hamilton. She was educated in the Leeds School System.

Preceding her in death are husband, Clarence N. Alexander, one sister, Bessie Jackson, four brothers, Walter, Sandy, Larry, and Ulysses. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Yvonne Jackson, a son, Steven Alexander (Zakaya), eight grandchildren and two sisters, Josephine Mills and Louise Jackson of Birmingham, AL, one brother, Charlie Jackson of Detroit, MI, one brother-in-law, Hezekiah Alezander (Quay) of Los Angeles, CA. Three adopted daughter: Rosetta, Yasha, and Venita and a host of relatives and friends.
