Mrs. Lillie Mae Pullum was born on October 22, 1927 to the late Nathaniel and Lillie B. Givan. She departed this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at
home surrounded, by her loving family. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church Norwood where she served as a member of the Senior
Usher Board. She was a member of the Class of '49 Sunday School Class which was started by her mother-in-law, Mrs. Frances Pullum.
She had a kind gentle soul which allowed her to show empathy to others. She was a GREAT listener who appeared to always know the appropriate
words to use to ease your pain, sooth your heart and give you comfort. Mother as we all called her, was a great supporter of many organizations
within the Birmingham area. She was married to the love of her life, Mr. Robert Pullum (Bobby) for 66 years (April 22, 1944). To this union she became a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Pullum, daughter, Valencia Renee Pullum and one son, Army SFC Anthony J. Pullum. She is survived by her daughter Linda Pullum-Johnson (Mosely Johnson), Robert F. (Gwen), Ronald (Deb), MSGT Timothy (Ret.), Michael (Helen), Rodney Keith (Brenda) and daughter-in-law Carol (Anthony deceased). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family members, friends, caring neighbors and a very special, loving family friend, Ms. Nora Knight. Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at noon at George Washington Carver Cemetery, 1020 Minor Pkwy Birmingham, AL 35224. Public viewing on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Smith and Gaston Funeral Home, 102 6 th Avenue S.W. Birmingham, AL 35211, from noon until closing at 7:00pm.
