It was Tuesday, April 17, 1951, when Frank and Mary McCammon welcomed their 2nd son, Larry
Stephen, into this world. They were now proud parents of two boys. Larry and Frank, Jr. were
inseparable as kids, and enjoyed the usual brotherly comraderies of siblings. Larry accepted
Christ at an early age, joining Sardis Baptist Church. Larry was naturally athletic, excelling in
track, football, and basketball. Basketball was his favorite. Larry was a proud member of the
marching and concert Thundering Herd Band of Parker High School where he graduated in the
class of 1969. He attended both Bishop College and Virginia Union University.

Larry loved his family and leaves to cherish his memory three sons - Larry, Jr., Sean and Eugene
McCammon (Tamika); eight grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons.

He also leaves five siblings, Frank McCammon, Jr. (Camille), Thomasine Beck, Yvonne Colvin
(Joseph), Roslyn McCammon, Melvin McCammon, aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, and
cousins. Larry was preceded in death by a daughter, Avayln Jaquel, a brother, Derrick
McCammon, parents, Frank and Mary McCammon.

To God be all the glory for the joys, the struggles, and the victories. We can all look forward to
this ultimate victory – eternal life.
