She was the oldest of three siblings. She married Ben C. Britt. She leaves a sister, Barbera Ann Hauser of
B'ham, AL; three children, Shug, Latonya Herbert, and Reynold Petty of B'ham, AL; six grandchildren,
two great-grands, one niece, and a host of cousins and other family members. She was an educator of
Barbour County school system for many, many years. She retired in 2000. She was a substitute teacher
and tutor. She loved helping children.
