Ms. Keshanta Long, our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend was born November 18, 1996, in Birmingham, Alabama to Anthony Starr and LaShundra Long. On July 6, 2017 her earthly journey ended and her heavenly voyage began.

At an early age, Keshanta was encouraged to attend church and live a Christian life. She attended Spain Park High School where she graduated with an Advance Diploma in May of 2015. While attending Spain Park she made All-State in Theater where she performed well. She also attended Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama with studies in Fashion Design; she was currently working on her degree.

She was a very outgoing individual that had a smile to light up the room. She loved to socialize with family and friends and read in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Althea Long and her great grandmother's Willie B. Johnson and Magnolia Dean.

She leaves to cherish her memories; father Anthony Starr and mother LaShundra Long; brothers Michael Long, Christopher Long, and Anthony Jr.; sister Gabriyel Starr; newphew Michael Long Jr. ; grandparents Reginald Brown, Jackie Starr, and Leroy Starr Sr. ; aunts LaToya and LaKetra Long; uncles, Darryl Starr(Juantosha), Leroy Starr (Meme); great aunts, Peggy Gary (Walter), Juanita Scott (Carl), Melissa Hutchinson (Omar), and Lovie Johnson; great uncles Fredrick Johnson (Francine) and Joseph Johnson (Cassandra) and best friends Carnesha Fowler and Josalyn Murphy and a host of cousins and friends. Viewing/visitation will be held at Smith & Gaston Funeral Home.
