Jessie Pearl Rice, was born on April 5, 1939 to the late Hershel and Lola Blue, Sr. in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Council Elementary School and graduated from Western Olin High School.

She was a devoted and loving wife to the late Pastor Clarence Rice, Sr. for over 48 years. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Vera Manley and Dorothy Madison; and one brother, Hershel Blue, Jr. She is survived by her eldest brother, Reaf (Sarah) Blue.

Jessie retired from Riverchase Rehabilitation Nursing Home after working for over 25 years of service. She dedicated her life being a neighborhood mother to all, creating a warm and loving home for everyone.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her devoted daughters, Bridgette (Rodney) Jordan and Patricia Washington; a loving son, Clarence Rice, Jr.; six grandchildren, Breonna, Raven, Tres, Taalib, Monquiz, and D'Andre; and three great grandchildren.

Her legacy will be treasured forever.
