Jessie Mae Florence was born July 1, 1931, to the late Isaiah and Elizabeth Peck in Birmingham, Alabama.

At an early age, she confessed Christ. She joined Douglasville United Methodist Church where she served faithfully until her health changed. Even though, she couldn't attend she became a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church. She was a caring woman. She loved and helped everybody, and she was loved by many.

Jessie Mae departed this life on November 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Florence; her sons, Nathaniel, James and Charles Adams and her daughter, Donna Hatter.

She leaves to cherish her memories six daughters, JoAnn Okechukwu, Constance Peavy and Rosemary Florence, all of Birmingham, AL, Brenda Talley of Southfield, MI, Delores Patrick of Redford, MI and Juanita (Michael) Pollard of West Virginia; three sons, Frank Adams, David (Lisa) Florence and Dwight Adams, all of Birmingham, AL; thirty-three, grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives grandchildren, and friends.
