Jerome Paul Walls, affectionally known as Junior, was born to Jerome Walls and Thelma Walls, on October 17, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama. He departed from this life on Sunday, November 20, 2016. He is a product of the Birmingham City School system attending both Hooper City High School and graduated from Parker High School. Jerome was a retired Air Force Sargent who served his country during the Viet Nam conflict. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at 23rd Street Missionary Baptist Church, South.
Jerome was proceeded in death by his father, Jerome Walls, Sr., his brother Travis Lee Walls, and his nephew Jeremy Anderson.
Jerome was a kind-hearted man who loved his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Thelma Lee Walls; his sisters Georgia Lee Walls, Denice (Calvin) Large, and Anita (Daniel) Smith; his brothers Marvin, Sr., Roderick (Tara), Perez and Mark; his niece, sister and friend Mia Grant Hundley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him and his love of life and laughter greatly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel with burial Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
