Jeffery Allen Bowie, age 32, born on May 26, 1985, received his heavenly body on Thursday, May 10, 2018, after a brief and very brave battle with kidney disease. Jeffery attended Our Lady of Fatima, A. H. Parker High School, Class of 2003, Jacksonville University and Virginia College where he received an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. He loved and worked hard at every job he had from Food World, Hilton Hotel, Jefferson County Board of Education, to Yellow Bicycle Catering. But no job brought him greater pride and joy than the joy he gave and received at Hoover Country Club, where he was currently employed.
Jeff would say, "it's not a job, we're a family." Jeffery loved his church, traveling, helping others in any way he could, dogs, especially our beloved Black Labs, Milo and Max, who are in doggy heaven, the New Orleans Saints and spending time talking and laughing with his loved ones. Jeffery leaves to cherish his many memories: his very devoted and loving mother, LeTricia Bowie-Richardson; his outstanding devoted and loving brother and sister, Jarrett A. Bowie and Jasmine A. Richardson; two very special aunts, Annette Williams and Debbie Bowie Perry (Ray). Also mourning him are his Parker High School friends, his Hoover Country Club family and too many relatives and friends to list. The family wishes to thank Jeffery's doctors, Dr. Brian Adler, Dr. William Lapidus, Dr. Charles Boackle, all the kind and caring nurses who cared for him at Brookwood Hospital and to everyone at Nephrology Associates in Homewood. God bless you all. His Homegoing celebration service will be Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. John Cantelow, officiating.
