Mr. James W. Manear, Sr., ge 87, of Birmingham, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. James was a devoted husband of 57 years, a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Manear; daughters, Shelia Manear and Sandra Harris; sons, Rickey (Vanessa) Manear, James Manear, Jr., Kenneth Morrow and Hubbie Morrow. Public visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Mr. Manear will lie in repose from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1740 Cleburn Avenue S.W., Birmingham, Alabama and his Celebration of Life service will follow.
