Mrs. Ida Lee Perry Hubbard, age 102, died Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was a native of Decatur, Alabama. She received her Bachelor and Master degrees from Alabama A&M University. She began her teaching career in the Lawrence County School System in 1945 and retired from the Tarrant City School System in 1980 with a total of 34 years of service to the teaching profession. She was an active member of Forty-fifth Street Baptist Church (7600 Division Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35206) where she served as an usher and as President of the Senior Women's Circle. The services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the church with interment in Zion Memorial Gardens. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel.
