Henry Dan Williams, Jr was born January 7, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Henry Dan and Thelma Cheatham Williams. He was the second of eight children four boys and four girls. Henry was educated in the Birmingham Public School System where he graduated from Ullman High School. He was employed with The Birmingham Waters Works and retired after 29 years of employment. He was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart Alice Pearson on October 7, 1965 and they had three girls. He rededicated his life to the Lord at Greater Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Henry was a loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family and had a way of making anyone he met feel at home and welcome. Anyone who knew him, knew he was very giving and would help anyone in need. He had a passion for cooking and gardening. Quite often he would share whatever he grew in his garden with the neighborhood.
Henry made his transition on Tuesday, December 20th. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Dan Williams, Sr; mother Thelma Cheatham Williams; three brothers Cleveland Williams, Ezell Williams, Alfonso Williams and daughter Kim Adams.
He leaves to cherish and honor his precious memories: a devoted and loving wife of 57 years Alice Williams, two daughters Stephanie (Thomas) Hall; Nikole (Danny) Kidd; Five grandchildren, Tiffany Hall, Alesha Hall, Kourtney Davis, Myah Adams and Mason Adams; two sister-in laws Shirley (Robert) Moffett and Vivian (Cedric) Rhymes; brother-in law William (Claudie)Phillip of Burr Ridge, Illinois; four sisters Jacqueline (Joe) Speights; Barbara Smith of Markham, Illinois; Ronnie Bridges of Markham, Illinois ,Goldie Moore and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
