Hazel Marie Davis Rosser was born in Marion, Alabama on December 26, 1933, and she transitioned to her heavenly home on October 18, 2025. Hazel's family moved to Birmingham, Alabama in the 1930s. She matriculated through the Birmingham City School System, graduating from Ullman High School in 1952. She attended Alabama State University and then began working at Community Hospital (formerly Holy Family Catholic Hospital) which was in the Ensley community of Birmingham. Hazel worked for more than two decades as the medical records supervisor for Community Hospital before her retirement in 1985. Accepting Christ as her personal Savior at a young age she initially united with Zion Star Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. In 1954 she moved her membership to the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her departure from this life.

Hazel married the love of her life Tolton Columbus Rosser in 1959 and to this union was born a son, Kenneth Wayne and a daughter, Kimberly Ann.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Tolton C. Rosser Jr., her mother Julia Nickerson, and a brother Sonny Davis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory son, Kenneth Rosser (Shirley); daughter, Dr. Kimberly Rosser Carr; a special niece, Phyllis McPherson Rogers (Malvin); a special cousin Victoria Hodges and a host of relatives and friends.
