Obituary

Harry Erskine Lee was born on January 14, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama to the Late Isiah and Mildred Connell Lee.


He was educated within the public schools of Birmingham and graduated from Ullman High School. He attended Daniel Payne College of Birmingham. Harry Worked for Southern Railroad, UAB Health Service Foundation, and retired from 1st United Methodist Church of Trussville.


Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lee, and by his parents, Isiah and Mildred Lee, brothers William Benford, Percy Lee, and Charles Lee and sister Carolyn Green.


He confessed Christ at an early age. He was a faithful, dedicated and loyal member at Our Lady of Fatima and St. Patrick Catholic Church. He served as usher and maintenance for both churches.


Harry loved the Lord, his family, his church and his many friends. His spirit was one of giving and service. He touched numerous lives and constantly thrived to serve as a Christian example with unconditional love.


On Sunday, April 23, 2023, God called him home to rest from his earthly journey. A special thanks to all family members and friends for their expressions of love & compassion during his brief illness. He was a true fighter and fought the battle given to him by the Lord. His fight yielded him earthly rewards and his faith reaped him a spiritual reward.


He leaves behind to cherish his legacy: Loving and devoted Children: Jesse Lee, Kimberly (Jared) Danks, Jason Lee, Jennifer Lee, Brittany Lee, and Ashley Lee. He also leaves behind his loving and adorable grandchildren. Tyler Lee, Katherine Danks, and Mildred Danks.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
