Mr. George W. Fomby made Heaven his home on September 17, 2015 at the age of 78. George was born in Lincoln, Alabama and grew up in Fairfield, Alabama. He leaves behind a loving and dedicated wife, Brenda Fomby; son, Marc (Katrice) Fomby; two daughters, Terri Harris and Carla Flakes. He was also loved by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. George was a deacon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Fairfield for many years. He was also voted as the local president of the Fairfield Industrial High School Alumni Association for multiple terms. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at Noon at First Baptist Church of Fairfield. Interment in Carver Memorial Gardens.
