Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 2133 - 32nd Avenue North, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will greet family and friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5:30 until 6:30 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. He was a former member of Douglasville United Methodist Church. Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Bobbie Parker-Barnes; sons, Dante Parker of Birmingham, AL, Franklin Barnes, Jr. of Cleveland, OH and Tamiko Barnes of Columbus, GA; daughters, Anne Barnes and Tammie Barnes, both of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
