Frank
Lambert
November 10, 1935 – January 8, 2026
FRANK LAMBERT, age 90, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Southland Health and Rehab on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Frank Henry Lambert was born November 10, 1935, to the late Eugene and Ruth Lambert. Frank confessed Christ at an early age and joined Bethel A.M.E Church in Homewood, Alabama. He served as a Sunday School Teacher at Bethel A.M.E. Church for several years and was a long-time member of their choir. He was a proud graduate of Rosedale High School class of 1954. He was a proud member of the school's football team. After graduation he made the decision to join the United States Air Force. After serving his time in the U.S Military, Frank decided to make California his home and settled there for over forty years.
Frank devoted over 25 years of service to Metro Bus in Los Angeles, California, as a bus driver until his retirement. Never one to slow down; once he relocated back to Birmingham, Alabama, he continued that passion and drove for MAX Bus for an additional 15 years. He truly enjoyed driving the bus and meeting new people and creating memories everywhere he went.
Throughout his life, he was known as everyone's favorite uncle. He was admired for his steady presence, strength of character, and devotion to those he loved. He lived a long full life that was mirrored by hard work, dedication, resilience and care for his family and community. His final stop was joining Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory: his one son, Darryl Lambert; three daughters, Natasha Lambert, Dionna (Bryant) Lambert Kirk, and Tia Lambert; six grandchildren, Amare' Jackson, Maliyah Collins, Drew Kirk, Charm Radford, Dylan Kirk, and Cali Radford. Frank had seven siblings who preceded him in death with the exception of one beloved brother, Tommy Joe Lambert and three beloved sisters, Royce Storey, Donna (Eric) Stinson, and Faye Lambert, all of whom he loved dearly. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins to cherish his memory.
