Sis. Fannie Mae Crum Shine was born on
July 20, 1930, in Furman, Alabama, to Wilbert Crum and
Mary Hale. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Zion
Rest Baptist Church, Furman, Alabama.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Willie Shine in
1944 in Pahokee, FL.
She later moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she united
with Mount Hebron Baptist Church under the leadership
of the late Rev. C.M. Murdock. She served faithfully as a
member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Society, Senior
Ministry, and as an Assistant Sunday School Teacher.
Mrs. Shine was employed at To Bridges Company,
Estes Nursing Home, Cooper Green Hospital, and
Environmental Specialists.
She departed her life on Friday May 18, 2018. She was
preceded in death by her husband the late Willie Shine; son,
Edward Shine, and daughter, Patirce Shine; five brothers,
and four sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Linda
Burrell (Robert); four sons, Willie Shine, Marvin Shine,
Gregory Shine, and LaShomas Shine; two sisters, Effie
Mae Foster, Minter, AL, and Mary B. Hall; four brothers,
Willie Crum (Essie Mae), Chattanooga, TN, Jimmie Hale
(Johnny), Jonesboro, GA, Peter Hale, Fort Wayne, IN, and
Eddie Hale, Pensacola, FL; eight grandchildren, thirteen
great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren;
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends of
Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church family; and an
outstanding caregiver/grandson, Derek Burrell.
