Eula Weatherly Kind was born April 27, 1934, the fifth child of the Reverend Murray Weatherly and Mrs. Vannie Mae Weatherly. On April 14, 2025, she transitioned to eternity to be reunited with her parents and all of her siblings. She was preceded in death by sisters Mary Elizabeth Alexander, Catherine Thomas, and Anna Louise Williams, as well as brothers Murray Weatherly Jr., Berry Weatherly and the Rev. Morris Weatherly.
Eula confessed Christ at an early age under the pastorate of her father at Faithful Few Missionary Baptist Church. She grew up in the church and devoted her life to serving God and sharing the Gospel of Christ through song. She honed her piano skills as a child and enjoyed playing and teaching the songs of the church to others. She played for several churches to include Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church and Faithful Few. She also played and sang with the number 2 Layman choir.
At the time, she was well into her 80s and ushered in the Holy Spirit, playing and singing You Must Be Born Again.
For years, she served faithfully at Faithful Few. In 2004 she united with First Missionary Baptist Church East Boyles under the leadership of the Rev. Robert Alexander. She was an active participant in the choir and enjoyed it.
Eula was blessed with five children and raised them all in the church. She took great pride in seeing the children, grand children and great grand children take on active roles in various ministries and activities.
Eula was educated in Birmingham City Schools. She spent much of her adult life working at the Country Club of Birmingham. Upon her retirement, she was celebrated with a reception and well wishes from her employers, family, and friends.

While we know Eula Kind is now resting with her Lord and Savior, she leaves to cherish her memory Yolanda Nelson, Willie George Davis Jr., Lonnie Davis Sr (Christine), Harold L. Davis Sr., Erma J. Stewart (Rev. Theodore Stewart). She also has bonus children Willie Cowan (Josephine), Evelyn Johnson (Glenn), Willa Davis, Clifford Ann Smith (Mike), and Edward Maddox, Marie Taylor, and Leddie Weststone. She has 17 grandchildren. She has 41 great grandchildren. She has 13 great great grandchildren. One sister in law Amanda Weatherly. A host of special nieces and nephews. Special caregivers, Compassus, Christine Wells, Debra Fisher, and Akia McCurdy.
