Mr. Eugene Jones was born in Orrville, Alabama on February 13, 1947 to the late Mr. Walter Williams and the late Ms. Harriett Jones.
His family later moved to Birmingham, Alabama.
He confessed Christ and was baptized at Ninevah Missionary Baptist Church where he was a devoted member and faithfully attended Sunday School and Bible Study. His love for his church was well known by all he met.
He was educated in the Birmingham School System and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, where he served his country from 1966-1969.
He was later employed with American Cast Iron and Pipe Company of Birmingham where he retired after 40 years of service.
He had a love for sports and enjoyed reading.
This loving man of strength, strong Christian faith and unconditional love crossed the finish line into the winner's circle on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Eugene can be best remembered for his deep love for his family and giving a helping hand anywhere he was needed. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Camille A. Jones; brothers, John Lewis King and Robert Louis Williams; sisters, Thelma Murray and Brenda Williams.
He leaves to continue his legacy and cherish his memory; a loving wife, Neadra Kier- Jones; one son, Justin Eugene Jones; one daughter, Regina F. Jones; three grandchildren, Shaquille Jones, Brandon Jones and Gianna Mosley; two great-grandchildren, Camarrion Carson and MeKenzie Pippens; brothers, Eddie (Anita) Jones, Walter Williams, Bennie Williams, John Henry Williams, Angelo (Brenda) Williams, Calvin Williams; sisters, Ella Mae Hargrove, Annie (Cleaven) Dean, Eloise Williams, Constance Whittiker; one uncle, Joe (Mary) Williams; one aunt, Cleona (Amos) Smith; brothers-in-law, Minister James (Pamelin) Roper, Jerome (Cynthia) Roper, Willie Kier, Reginald (Anita) Kier; one sister-in-law, Mary (James) Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
