IN LOVING MEMORY OF ERNESTINE GLENN

On November 23, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama, a beautiful life began with the birth of Ernestine Glenn, the beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Lorraine Brown. From the very beginning, she was surrounded by family, love, and the values that would shape the remarkable woman she would become.

Ernestine was educated in the Birmingham City School System and attended Parker High School, where she proudly served as a majorette. She continued her education at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, and Miles College. Her passion for caring for others led her into the nursing profession, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credentials in New York.

Throughout her career, Ernestine served others with compassion and dedication as a nurse and home health aide. She was also employed at the VA Hospital, where her caring spirit and commitment to helping others were evident. For Ernestine, caring for people was more than a profession—it was a calling.

Later in life, she made the selfless decision to become the primary caregiver for her beloved parents. She devoted herself to their care, giving them the love, dignity, and support they deserved. She later extended that same devotion to her oldest daughter, becoming her primary caregiver. Ernestine’s life was a testament to the power of love expressed through service and sacrifice.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her four children: Keischa Glenn, Kevin Glenn, Karla Glenn, and Kwanita Glenn.

Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Jaquese Glenn, Amber Glenn, Kevin Glenn, Jr., Kamyrnn Sager, and Jordynn Sager; and her great-grandson, Xavier McDaniels, Jr.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Alfreda Payne, along with extended family, dear friends, former colleagues, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness, strength, wisdom, and loving presence.

Ernestine will forever be remembered as a devoted daughter, loving mother, cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother, caring sister, dedicated caregiver, and compassionate healthcare professional. She gave of herself to others and left an imprint that cannot be erased.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave and the lives she touched will continue through every generation that follows.

Her work on earth is finished, but her legacy of love, service, and family will live forever.
