Eric Andre Logan was born on August 15, 1975 to Willie Clyde and Oscar F. Logan, Jr. in Birmingham Alabama. He attended Sandusky and Bottenfield grade schools then was graduated from Minor High School in 1992. Eric furthered his education and also was graduated from Lawson State Community College in 1995.
Eric worked for the city of Birmingham as a traffic engineer for the last 9 years. He was a devoted member of H.L.M.C. and rode his Harley street glider at every opportunity. At every function Eric could be found on the grill and left no man, woman or child hungry. "Big E" was broad in stature and had an even bigger heart.
He was also a member of Earnest Chapel Presbyterian Church and gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was loved by all and showed his love for his brotherhood and family consistently.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar F. Logan, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Elma and Fred Eatmon and paternal grandparents, Hattie and Oscar Logan.
Eric is survived by his beloved mother, Willie Clyde Logan; sister, Felisha Walter (Jessie); brother, Oscar F. Logan (Kenya); sister, Anffinee Tolliver; nieces and nephews, Oscar F. Logan, III, Danielle Spencer, Micáela Washington, Jalecia Walter, Jywanza Logan; 3 great nieces, 2 great nephews; loving aunt Verna Eatman; uncle Jesse Logan, uncle Charles Logan and a host of other close relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Earnest Chapel CPCA, 5612 Norway Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35224. Interment in George Washington Carver Memorial Gardens.
