Obituary

Ella Clark was born December 5, 1936, to Inola Taylor and Sonny Boy Jordan in Sturgis Mississippi. After moving to Birmingham at an early age she later graduated from A. H. Parker High School. Caregiving to others was her passion, and she worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 20 years at St. Vincent's Hospital. After retiring, she continued to provide care for others by volunteering at McCoy Adult Daycare Center.

She was a devoted church member at St. Joseph Baptist Church for many years serving on the usher board, helping with the homeless ministry and many other committees. Her hobbies included traveling, sewing, cooking and but her favorite hobby was gardening.

She was a member of the Impatiens Garden Club that had monthly meetings where members exchanged their expertise in cultivating plants and increased their overall knowledge. During her time in the Oakwood Community, she held several positions including President of the Neighborhood Association.

She was proceeded in death by her daughter Twoller Reese and two brothers and three sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers Shedrick Jordan, and James H. Jordan Jr., one sister Ann Denise Johnson, a devoted granddaughter Victoria Spencer and many other relatives and friends.
