Earl Prentis Fennoy

Obituary

Earl Prentis Fennoy, a beloved son, father, brother, friend, and faithful servant, was born on June 7, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Prentis Fennoy and Mrs. Earlyne T. Fennoy.

Earl received his early education in Birmingham, attending Tuggle Elementary School before graduating from A.H. Parker High School. He continued his education at Tennessee State University, where he majored in Physical Education. Upon completing his education, Earl dedicated himself to educating and encouraging young people through his work as a Physical Education teacher with Detroit City Schools in Detroit, Michigan.

Earl later discovered another passion through his work as a golf caddy at Shoal Creek Club, where he served faithfully for many years. He continued in this role until approximately three years ago, when declining health required him to step away.

Earl was a man who valued fellowship and his relationship with God. He worshiped and fellowshipped with Tabernacle Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Christopher M. Hamlin. His faith and the relationships he developed throughout his life were meaningful parts of his journey.

On Friday, October 2, 2026, Earl answered the call from labor to reward. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Prentis Fennoy and Earlyne T. Fennoy.

Though his earthly journey has ended, Earl leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories with his two children; two sisters; cousins Shawndra, Carol, and Jaylon Ravizee; and a host of other relatives, friends, neighbors, and loved ones.

He will also be fondly remembered by his dear friends and Brothers in Christ, Mr. Comer Allen, Mr. Dwight Barker, Mr. Arnold Fennell, Mr. Don Hill, and Mr. Ben Davis, as well as his special friend, Mr. Randy and Milla Arerette, along with many friends and neighbors who shared in his life.
