Deborah C. Williams was born on January 14, 1949, in Fairfield, Alabama, to Rev. James Edward Kindall, Sr. and Wilma Lee Kindall. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. R. E. Avery at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Englewood. Later in life, she became a member of True Light Missionary Baptist Church, where her brother, Rev. Stanley W. Kindall, Sr., serves as pastor.

Deborah was educated in the Fairfield School System and graduated from Fairfield Industrial High School in 1967. She began her professional career at UAB before joining the United States Postal Service, where she dedicated over 30 years of service before retiring. Known for her love
of sunflowers, Deborah often expressed her bright spirit through her gardening and home décor.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, Deborah peacefully departed this life. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. James Edward Kindall, Sr.; her brothers, Colona Kindall, James Edward Kindall, Jr., and Calvin Kindall, Sr.; her sister, Cynthia Elaine Kindall; and her beloved grandson, James S. Bowen, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving mother, Wilma Lee Jones; her children, Larnetta Williams, Rodger Williams, Jr., and James (Porcia) Bowen, Sr.; eleven grandchildren, Shannen, Terry, Kourtney, Sydney, Evhan, Jaydin, Jeremy, Jimaya, Jacoby, Karderrius, and Janiyah; seven
great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Deborah's life was one of faith and quiet strength. Her generosity and enduring love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
