Deacon Bobby
Hogan, Sr.
May 23, 1949 – March 22, 2025
Bobby Hogan was born May 23, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Rev. Lindsey and Lena Mae Hogan. He attended Carver High School, Hooper City School and graduated from New Castle High School. He received a degree from Booker T. Washington Business College.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lindsey, Doris Jean, Linda Ann, and Henry Calvin.
He was Vice President since 2012 of P.A.N.I.C. (People Against Neighborhood Industrial Contamination). this group has had many accomplishments including closing Blue Stone Coke Plant.
Bobby was a family man, and he loved each one of them with all he had. He was a member of the True Love Church under the leadership of Reverend Eddie J. White. He was a faithful member of the Ushers Ministry, Man Up Ministry and the Deacons Ministry. He labored in those ministries until his untimely passing.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory: children, Bishop Bobby (Natassha) Hogan, Jr., Jonathan (Brandy) Hogan, Gwendolyn Terrell; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jr., Preston, Jamarius, Terrance, Matthew, Raven, Andrea (Chase); sisters, Margaret Porter of Birmingham, AL and Alice Faye Bosha of Philadelphia, PA; nieces, Kathy, Karen, Karol and Andrea of Memphis, TN who he cared for after their father died; a special long time close friend, Lorenza Quinn, Jr., and a host of other family members.
