Darcy Olaf Waddy, a beloved Father, Son, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, was born on August 10, 1960, in Ensley, Alabama to Mr. Curtis Edward Waddy, Sr. and the late Nancy Mae Waddy. On August 22, 2025, he entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

He was a proud graduate of Holy Family High School, where he built lifelong friendships and a foundation rooted in faith and community. Known by all as a true social butterfly, he never met a stranger. His laughter was contagious, bringing joy to those fortunate enough to share in his presence.

Family was the heart of his world. He adored his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews, and he was always there with open arms, good advice, and plenty of humor. His love extended to his four-legged companions as well, who were as much a part of his family as anyone else.

Although he found happiness in so many things, one of his deepest joys was the love he shared with his late mother, Nancy, who preceded him in death. He missed her profoundly, and we take comfort in knowing they are now joyfully reunited.

He leaves behind a host of family and friends who will forever treasure his warmth, his stories, and his generous spirit. To know him was to be touched by kindness, and to love him was a gift beyond measure.

Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life well lived, a life filled with compassion, laughter, and unwavering love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
