Cornelius L. Dixon, Sr.

Cornelius LeRay Dixon, Sr., was born May 18, 1970, to the late Robert and Wanda Dixon. He received his education through Birmingham city schools and was a proud graduate of Huffman High School.

Shortly after graduating, Cornelius married his teenage sweetheart, Jennifer Dixon. Together, they shared more than 36 years of marriage and raised their family. Cornelius dedicated his professional life to Thompson Tractor, where he worked as an Undercarriage Specialist. He later embraced the joy of becoming a grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Imani Rose.

Cornelius will forever be remembered for his compassionate heart, invaluable character, and willingness to help others. He was a source of guidance and encouragement to many, especially the youth in his community. Whenever someone was in need of advice, support, or a helping hand, Cornelius was there.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his mother in law, Vera Mae Pope.

His legacy of love, wisdom, and compassion will continue through his beloved wife, Jennifer Dixon; children, Samuel, Cornelius Jr., Devonte, and JonTavia; granddaughter, Imani Rose; only sister, Tarnesa Dixon; nieces, Rokeisha and Jaidyn Dixon; his aunt, Marguerite Allen; brother in law, Jeffrey D. (Ida) Pope, brother in Law; Shundel (Cynthia) Allen, Special Brother; Special Sister; Karen Morris.

Though he is no longer with us physically, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
